SYNERGIES
Following the Still North model of reading and performance, our Synergies series offers uniquely experiential, literary-centric events that bring together sometimes disparate communities of artists and writers. Synergies evolved out of local poet and 49 Alaska Writing Center board member Jeremy Pataky’s Still North Reading and Performance Series, which began in 2009, prior to official establishment of the 49 Alaska Writing Center. Still North and Synergies events have been well-promoted, well-attended, and very successful. The series is currently coordinated by volunteers Jeremy Pataky and Susanna Mishler, along with substantial support from writing center staff.
